Day 16 - A song you'd like to dedicate to someone you hate.
Jar of Hearts ~ Christina Perri.
Okay. Now, lucky for all ya'll, I collected a few awkward moments for you. Mainly, the first one...
Awkward:
I was at Georgi's house on Tuesday. And we decided it would be funny to text a boy she used to like, from my phone. I say, "I hid the body. Happy now?" to which he replied, "Lol, I think you have the wrong number." So I answer, "Nope, I don't think so *insert boys name here*. What do you want me to do?" Well, he didn't answer. Which was fine. About 15 minutes later, my phone rings. It's a number I don't recognize, but I figure it might be work related or something, so I answered it. Any guesses on who it was? It was his mother...after realizing my name was Aurora, she handed the phone to her son to talk to me. I quickly apologized and hung up, and Georgi and I laughed, quite awkwardly, about it for at least ten minutes. We didn't learn our lesson, obviously, because we decide that she should text the boy that I like from her phone. She says, "I hid the body. Don't be so messy next time." And he responds with something along the lines of, "Who is this?? I'll report you!" And he said he'd report the number to the cops. So she flips poo and tells him who it is and says, "Aurora will never love you if you do that!" *facepalm* It was a bunch of, "Oh my gosh what's wrong with him" and a lot of quick texting. It was so awkward. So so so awkward.
You know that awkward moment when you remember every time anyone's ever fed you grapes? Yup...That's what happens when you watch strange movies.
I was at a birthday party on Friday, and everyone began openly saying that the boy I'm interested in is annoying, and obnoxious, and blah blah blah. It was really awkward for me, cuz none of them knew I liked him....it was real awkward.
At said birthday party, one of the girls told this scary story. I won't tell you the whole story, because you might hate me. But it basically made it super hard for me to leave her house. In the dark. And drive home. Alone. I considered calling Ian, but his head was hurting really bad that night, and it was late. So I didn't. I just loudly sang primary songs, and then I freaking RAN into my house, and slid my back against the walls so the thing couldn't sneak up behind me and eat me. The girl who shared the lovely story couldn't believe that we freaked out so much. Aaaaand my parents gave me some weird looks.
On the drives home from Seminary, we like to turn the radio on to the part where they're all talking, ya know? And then we'll turn the volume off and then up, over and over, so we catch just bits of their sentences. Just so we can see how ridiculous they sound. It's really funny, try it next time you're in your car. Well, today, the radio people were talking about honeymoons....let's just say, we almost peed our pants from the sheer awkwardness of it all. Yeah.
Nicholas is real short. For the past week, he's been complaining about the sun being in his eyes. And I just kept saying, "I'll bring you some phone books tomorrow, okay?" I always forget. So, he'll take all of our blankets and pile them up on his seat, and sit on them. And it's frickin hilarious. Especially when, today, just as we were getting in the car, one of my friends came to his window to ask me a question. And had to ask, "Nicholas...I thought you were shorter..." and he looked so confused.
K, so there was a dance on Saturday. And I wore a batman shirt. Which was awesome. After the dance, a group of us went to sonic. Well, we're stupid. Cuz we forgot that it was COLD. We all huddled together outside for a bit, and then got into Brooke's minivan and cranked the heater. So, I'm sitting next to my friend, Kolton. And he really likes batman too. So, he makes a circular motion with his hand and points to the batman symbol, which is on my chest, and says, "I had this first, understand??" and it got reaaaallly quite. And then his friend busts up and he says, "No! I meant the shirt, I had the shirt first!" And it was really hilarious, although it was somewhat inappropriate.
I'm doing no-shave November. Everyone thinks I'm kidding, but I'm serious. I haven't shaved my legs in over two weeks. I have an impressive amount of hair. If guys can go all that time without shaving, then so can I! Anyway, in the car after the dance, Kolton says something about not shaving. All of the girls in the car proudly announce the last time they'd shaved. Mostly that day. Wusses. Anyway, I say, "Oh yeah. I shaved today too." And I rolled my eyes. As a joke, many people reached for my leg, like to feel it?(I was wearing jeans. Don't worry, I don't show off the hair) And I said, "Just kidding, guys...I'm doing no-shave November...I haven't shaved all month." And the boys instantly recoiled. One of them gagged. I died laughing.
The batman shirt? I considered wearing it today. And when I got to Seminary, I saw that Kolton was wearing his. I can't decide whether that would've been awesome or awkward...
Awesome:
RACHEL GETS HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS TODAY. Holy shiznicklebiscuits. I am so excited. I have missed her so effing much. And she gets home TODAY. Like, her plane lands in 15 minutes. HOLY SON OF A BISHOP. Okay. I'm calm now.
I got a friggin Batman shirt.
The thing from the scary story didn't eat me.
I learned how to take in some pants that are super baggy. Woot!
I fixed my broken flat iron. With duct tape. Like a boss.
I turned in all of my assignments I was behind in! Well...except for...except for the ones I haven't yet. BUT IT'S A START. Besides, there aren't that many behind.
I have become super addicted to Doctor Who...I'm almost done with Season 2...and I'm not sure whether or not to be proud of this fact...
David Tennant is hot. And that's awesome. Like...a whole butt ton of sexy.
Beka and I discovered that Obama was the devils' fart. (Remember the post about that? Read it here. And then I mentioned it again here). It was just...it was just funny. And awesome. (I mean no disrespect to the guy...okay, maybe a little bit...)
That's about it for now, peeps. I'm just gonna watch Doctor Who until Rachel gets here...
