You'll never look at me the same way...probably

Napolean Dynamite: One of the greatest movies known to man-kind. Okay, maybe not. But it's a good movie. If you don't like that movie then...well...you're a poo poo face.

Okay, that was mean. But you get the picture. I really like that movie.

We got a puppy. His name is Napolean. Can you guess why? ;)

We got him a week after Atlas passed. It's just one of those things, where there's a hole in your heart and only a dog can fill it. It just is.

Anyway. Funny moments. Ya'll ready for this? Also, please don't ever let me say ya'll again.

Last night, my 4 year old sister decided to dance for us. She ran across the room once, and then laid down and said, "I'm too tired to do it anymore. Just pretend I did it."

I went to Winter Ball on Saturday, and my dog peed on my bag shortly before we left...

This morning in Seminary, one of the girls next to me mentioned Centurions. Jodi, who also watches Doctor Who, and I snapped our heads up and looked at each other. And we both found it hilarious and I almost fell off my chair laughing. I'm not even kidding.

On the way home from Seminary, I shoved my face against the window of my car and waved at everyone who passed by as we sat at the stop light. It was highly entertaining.

The past two days, I have been forced to sit next to this kid in my class who used to be a good friend of mine, but now sorta hates me, and it is beyond awkward. FUNNY. But awkward.

Guys, I swear to you that I had a whole butt ton of funny things that have happened in the past few weeks to share with you, but I guess my life isn't quite as funny as I thought.

I'll share my life's greatest victory with you: I got one of my classmates to be hooked on Doctor Who. I FEEL REALLY ACCOMPLISHED, OKAY??

I just really have nothing else to say to you guys. So, I'm sorry. But, uhm...enjoy this unedited picture.

Don't judge me on the beauty of my face.

The bone in the back of your neck

In every tragic movie there are typically three stereotypes: 1) There's the person who cries hysterically, but mostly just for attention. 2) There's the person that never cared about the deceased person, or if they did, they didn't care very much and they never showed it, but suddenly care tremendously. 3) And there's the person that gets angry at everyone else as a result of their sorrow.

I will warn you now, this is going to be an emotional post. If you don't want to listen to me ramble, then...stop reading.

In the analogy above, I can pinpoint those three stereotypes to me and two of my siblings perfectly. I won't name them and which they are simply because it's not pertinent. However, I am the latter. Upon tragedy, I lash out at the world around me. Not to blame, I'm not that naive. But simply as a way to cope. I know it's not healthy or fair, but that's just how I am.

Almost 11 years ago, when I was 7 years old, my mother received a phone call from my father. It was an ordinary Friday/Saturday. The kids were all doing their chores dutifully, and my dad had been sent to WalMart on an errand for my mother. My mom gathered us in the living room, sat down on the large brick hearth and told us that we needed to finish our chores as quickly as possible, because dad had a surprise he was bringing home and we couldn't play with it until we were done. Because we were obedient little kiddos, we ran off as fast as our little feet could carry us to finish our chores. I swept our spacious kitchen floor eagerly, day dreaming about the swimming pool I was sure my father was bringing home for us. When we heard the engine of my dads car, we ran out the back door onto the deck, and looked over the railing. We watched as our dad pulled a small black something out of his gold Saturn, and head to the steep wooden steps. And that is when we met Atlas.

After my initial disappointment that it WASN'T a swimming pool quickly wore off, I was ecstatic. We had a puppy. As my father tells us, as he was walking into WalMart, there was a man giving away puppies. After getting my moms permission(haha) he got the darkest one he could. We named her Atlas, after the bone in the back of your neck. Because you're probably confused, I'll add this: my father is a Chiropractor.

She was a golden retriever/black lab/chow mix. She was the best dog you can imagine. We slept in a tent with her the first few nights, so she could bond with us as well as possible. She was such a patient dog. She never got mad when the youngest ones would sit on her, pretending she was a horse. She'd just flick her fat tail, breathing heavily out her nose once, and continue her nap. She was always kinda fat, cuz we're not the most athletic family. ;) But when I'd run with her, she was the happiest dog on the planet. She would grab her leash and bounce eagerly as I clipped it onto her collar, and she'd keep perfect pace with me as we ran.

I'm not gonna lie, she knew some of the coolest tricks. When my friends would come over, I would show them my favorite, which was playing dead. It seems ironic now... We would make a gun sign with our hands, point, and say 'bang', and she'd drop down, waiting for the release command.

I could post forever about how amazing my dog was, and how infinite my love for her. But I won't.

Friday evening, I brought my group of friends home from my date, and I went to pet my dear dog. The only problem was that she had an incredibly hard time standing up, and an even harder time walking.

She suffered from a stroke Friday evening, and she died this morning at 1 am. I tried to keep myself optimistic as long as possible, but as my mom came to me last night, about 3 hours before her death, I sobbed. I sobbed and sobbed as my father gave her a blessing, and as I scratched her ears and listened to her labored breathing. At this point, she couldn't even walk. She couldn't stand to eat, and didn't have the strength to chew. We had to syringe water into her mouth. We went to bed at midnight, but I couldn't sleep. You can't sleep, knowing your dog is in the next room with your parents, dying. Right after 1 am, I heard the broken sobs coming from both of my parents, and as I opened my door to check, PRAYING that by some miracle she was okay, I heard the words I'd been dreading for 11 years: "She just left us". The sorrow and pain I felt as I ran to her side cannot be expressed. My parents sat by her as she took her last breath, and her spirit left her body. I held onto her and sobbed, not wanting to believe she was gone.

We were lucky it was quick. I'm so glad that my poor, fat dog didn't have to suffer any longer.

I helped my father dig her grave this morning, feeling some of my love for her go into the labor of that grave. We facetimed with my sister so she could be there, as we carried her outside and all spoke of her life and the wonderful memories she gave us, united as a family in this time of sorrow.

In church, we sang "I need thee every hour", which touched my soul. I cried, which I thought was embarrassing, but it was okay. It's times like that that I know God is watching. He knew my sorrow, and placed certain things in my path in the 3 hours of church that reminded me of my great blessings.

As Sunday School began, my wonderful teacher went around the room, asking us each how we were doing. Everyone responded with, "oh I'm fine. I did this this week which was cool." When he turned to me, I stared at my hands in my lap and muttered, "I'm doing okay" and refused to look up. He softly said, "I heard what happened. I know it's hard. And it's okay if you don't feel like participating in class today." and the tears spilled over, pooling in my hands as I nodded in affirmation and gratitude. At the conclusion of the class, which was about blessings and tender mercies by the hand of God, I stood up to leave, and he enveloped me in a hug and said, "Aurora, if there's anything I can do, please tell me. Please."

You have no idea how hard it was to respond as my eyes became waterfalls. I was just beginning to calm down, sitting on the couch outside the next meeting room, when one of my very favorite women walked up, saying something about relief society. She stopped dead when she saw my puffy eyes and stained face. She sat and cried with me as I explained the death. Every time someone else asked what was wrong, another wave of tears would come over me, and I'd have to choke out an explanation.

After all of this, after the hugs, prayers, kisses, and promises that it would be okay, I realized that she couldn't have left on a better day. On a day when the spirit was so strong in church, when the right people were in my path.

I love my dog. Seeing her go is the hardest thing I've experienced up to this point in my life. She will always be my childhood friend, patient and loving, ready to take a beating to protect us.

Atlas, you are missed. May you rest in peace. I love you.

T-Swizzle

Have you ever had one of those moments where there is so much you should post that you don't post?

Yeah.

Well. I could tell you about everything that's happened since my last post, but I won't. Just know that my life was HIGHLY exciting. ;)

There is ONE thing that I want to talk about. And I just hope to high heavens that the person this concerns chooses not to read my blog any time soon.

A couple weeks ago I got a text from a 'friend'. Let's call him Jimmy. Now, Jimmy and I once sorta dated. Keyword: once. And by that I mean that it's over, not that it was only once cuz we dated like, three times. ANYWAY. That's beside my point. So, Jimmy texts me, which is strange, and says, "So, random question". And I had just gotten a new phone, and had NO CONTACTS, so I was all, "Random answer, once you tell me who the crap you are." Once I found out who it was, I had a small desire that he'd maybe got offended that I didn't have his number. I shouldn't feel like that? I know. Doesn't stop me. ;) SO. As we talk, he tells me the purpose of communication was that he had very recently seen the new Taylor Swift music video, "I Knew You Were Trouble". If you haven't seen it, GO WATCH IT. He tells me that when he started watching the video, that Taylor looked like ME.

I cried laughing.

And then I realized he was serious.

I was like, "WHAT THE EFF ARE YOU MENTAL?!" And then I thought, "Well hey. Taylor Swift is effing gorgeous, so that's a compliment." And then I thought, "IS HE TRYING TO SAY I LOOK LIKE A HOT MESS?!" And then my thoughts deviated from my general appearance with what he said next.

He explained that it weirded him out the entire time he was watching it because he felt like he was staring at his ex-girlfriend. And he felt like it was me singing to him. And he was thinking, "She knew I was trouble..." blah blah blah.

He wasn't. Just..he wasn't.

I kinda laughed about it, and he told me that he wasn't totally crazy because he had his friend facebook stalk me(only slightly creepy, right?) and she agreed that I looked like Taylor in that video.

The next day, I was in the car, and that song came on the radio. As is customary when I'm in the car, I blasted the song and sang along at the top of my lungs.

And then I got to the bridge.

"When your saddest fear comes creeping in
That you never loved me or her or anyone or anything"

And then I started thinking. Cuz I do that, occasionally.

Now, I will be the first to admit that my past relationships have been the farthest things from actual RELATIONSHIPS. I like to think otherwise, but I'm not gonna lie. The reason for this is simply because I have never found someone that I'm just like, "Hey, I would LOVE to be your girlfriend." and mean it. With one exception, but that doesn't count at all for multiple reasons, including the fact that I was 15.

So, I thought about it, my whole drive home from my piano lessons(which is a pretty long drive), and I realized that, in the scenario that me and said ex were Taylor and an ex, I would be the ex and he would be Taylor.

Yes, envisioning him as Taylor Swift made me snort my tea just now. Yes, I drink tea. Yes, I'm going to continue with my story now.

See, he wasn't trouble. He was a normal 17 year old boy, he most DEFINITELY wasn't a bad boy, he just wasn't ANY of that.

A lot of you are going to disagree with what I'm about to say. Don't get your panties in a knot, and hear me out.

He was Taylor. *I* was trouble. Allow me to refresh a few lines of the song for you. Except I will change the wording.

"That I never loved you or him or anyone"
"And you heard I'd moved on, from whispers on the street. A new notch in my belt, Is all you'll ever be."
"I was long gone, when you met me. And you realize the joke is on you."
"And when you fell hard, I took a step back, without you."

As I thought about this, I kinda had this montage of past relationships. And it's true, especially with Jimmy. I'm the trouble. And I'm not saying that I'm trouble in the sense that TAYLOR was talking about, but hopefully you guys get the picture.

And I'm not posting this so my friends will text me and say, "Aurora, you're not trouble!" And blah blah. I know, I know. Thank you in advance. ;)

I think that, having this perspective, in a way, is good. Well, it's good now. Because I know I've never been in love. Ever. There was one boy that I thought I loved, but again, I was 15. I knew nothing about anything I was talking about. Because of this lack of love, it's made it VERY easy to let go of the relationships I've had. All of them. We break up, I cry for like, 2 seconds, and then I'm like, "Well, that was nice," and I move on.

So, boys, unless you are REALLY special...watch out. Cuz I guess I'm trouble. ;)

Welcome to the worst week of your life!

Dear readers of my blog,

I am about to tell you why this week sucks like a bad kisser with onion breath, and why this isn't the first time that this ordained week has sucked in the past.

Let's rewind two years. Got there? K, good. It's December 2010, the week before finals. Sunday, actually. And my life is fine and dandy, except for the fact that I am about to embark upon a horrible week of finals. Well, that Sunday night, I find out that my favorite teacher has been not only fired, but arrested. Most people wouldn't have an issue with this, but I was really close to this teacher. I really trusted him, and he had taught me more than anyone else had that short semester. I cried myself to sleep. Next day, Monday. I'm driving to Seminary with my dad. As a sophomore, I had my learners permit, and that was basically the only place I drove. I was thinking to myself, "Oh, I wish I was back in bed..." and my dad was lecturing me on either something about my help, some business plan, or my driving skills. I don't really recall which it was, I just remember my exhaustion. And then, I made a left hand turn. And got t-boned.

Let me clarify this: It *WAS* my fault. I wasn't paying attention, and I made the turn a little too soon. The car, which was going about 15 miles per hour, decided to ACCELERATE, and hit us at 30 miles per hour. I sat in the passengers seat and bawled, as my dad exchanged insurance information. I skipped seminary that day, instead sitting in the car the entire 50 minutes and crying. Yes, it was cold.

On top of that, there was this one girl, let's call her Stupid face, was a horrible bully to me, and that week was no exception. I got viscous facebook messages from her, and I gave up my prior feeble attempts to make amends and be her friend, and I blocked her on facebook.

Woohoo. That was one heck of a roller coaster.

Last year wasn't nearly as bad. It was pretty good, as far as finals go. My best friend, and crush at the time, was ignoring me and giving me an incredibly hard time about why we couldn't be friends and yaddy yaddy ya. So, although nothing heart breaking happened, it was an emotional week for me.

Now let's talk about this year. Namely, this week. This friggin week. Well, it's Tuesday. And it's finals week. And I was feeling preeeettty cocky about finals. No, I won't enjoy them. No, they won't be easy. But yes, I'm pretty confident I'm gonna kick some serious booty. I spent all day yesterday finishing my finals for my technology class, and getting caught up on geometry props (which I still need to finish...). I rushed from my technology class to my babysitting job, unfortunately within 5 minutes of each other. As I was running out, I grabbed the first book I could find under neath boxes of junk and towels that littered my bookshelf, since I didn't have any homework I could bring with me. I grabbed a thick novel, shoved into my purse, and didn't look at it until I was sitting on their couch 30 minutes later. The kids were watching a show that had zero appeal to me, and we didn't have to pick up the oldest from the bus stop for another 45 minutes. I had assumed I'd grabbed a Harry Potter novel, since those are my thickest, and were usually at the top of my precarious stacks. So I grabbed the book and plopped onto the couch to read. Can you guess what book it was?

No, not the Goblet of Fire.

Twilight.

Someone choke me.

Not a big Stephanie Meyer fan. Yes, when I was 13, I was a Twihard. Keyword: was.

Since I had nothing better to do, I read it. And the whole time, I found myself rewriting in my head. She would throw out 3 sentences, and I would mesh them in my head and turn them into 2 sentences, with better description and coherency. I'm not that good of a writer, but I can pride myself with being at least a little bit better than Stephanie Meyer. A little.

About 4 1/2 hours later, the parents got home. I pulled myself off the couch, turned off Doctor Who, chatted quickly, confirmed that I was coming on Saturday to babysit, and I headed to my car.

Which wouldn't start.

I tried twice. 2 long "kerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr-rr-rr-rrrrrr" sounds later, I called my dad, who said he'd be there soon. Because of the 15 degree temperature, I headed back to their house. Buuuuuut they didn't answer. Go figure. So I sat in my freezing cold car for 15 minutes until my dad got there, and he drove me home. He told me that it was probably because of the cold and because my car was old and all of that, and it probably needed the battery recharged. So, we'd go get it in the morning.

Which turned into a whole freaking hour long event. See, we tried starting it. Then we tried jump starting it. Then we tried jump starting it while he revved the engine of his car. Then we towed it to the auto shop, where the guy said that I had 7% battery, which should be enough for it to run on, so obviously that wasn't the reason. It is currently charging there, and my dad and I are supposed to go back in about 40 minutes to get the diagnostic on my car. I'm just hoping it's something like, "Oh, you need more break fluid" (which I already know...heh heh....oops.) or "It's cuz you're almost out of gas" (I'm just waiting for the gas light to turn on, that's how low it is), or something else. Something that I can fix.

Just watch. It'll be some large ordeal that will result in me being carless until I can pay to get a new one. Whoooop.

I think this week, every December, is cursed, and will be forever. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one at my school who feels like this.

Because of my unexpected car troubles, I haven't had all of the study time I'd like, and I have to postpone one of my scheduled finals an extra day. No biggie, I'll still be done early, but it's unpleasant to say the least.

And with that, I shall leave you. I have homework to do and tests to study for. And a car to cry over. ;) Jokes.

Watch this. It'll make you laugh. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FURdqmkyr9c And no, by "this" I mean this video. Not the questions to my history final which I accidentally pasted here. Those will not make you laugh. They will make you weep, and then overdose on energy drinks.

"She said you'd be my boyfriend"

It has been...so long. I apologize. You should all know why I've been busy. Simply, I am pretty busy. I got my teeth out. I had Thanksgiving. And then school started up again and my life went Cer-az-ay. Now, before you have to ask, I have this lovely photo for you.

yes. That is a picture of me the day after I got my wisdom teeth out. I look like death warmed over?? I know. Thank you.

I am also not going to attempt to finish the song challenge. I know you all had your heart set on it, but I just don't feel like doing it. Sorry. You'll live.

I know I promised I'd get that video to you guys. Well, good news. It's uploading right now. As we speak. Woooot! You're welcome.

Now, I have to tell you guys something. It's hilarious. And it goes like this.

Saturday, Autumn, Georgi and I were going to go kidnap a friend of ours. BUT, Georgi chickened out just as we pulled up to his house, and she drove off. However, previously, we had called him, trying to make sure he was home. We had called from Autumn's phone. So, last night, he texts her. And this is the conversation that ensued(please keep in mind that most of the things "she" said, I actually said):

Timmy: Who is this?
Autumn: Dude, I don't know. Who is this?
Autumn: Oh, wait, I remembered who you are.
Timmy: Okay. Who am I, and who are you?
Autumn: You are the Timothy of O'Mearas.
Timmy: Ok...who are you?
Autumn: This is me. *insert a picture of a realllllyy fat lady*
Timmy: Ur gross!
Autumn: I just really love food, okay?
Timmy: Who are you really?
Autumn: Okay. You got me. I was lying. This is me. *insert picture of Asian with glasses, staring creepily*
Timmy: I call bs on this one.
Autumn: Why would you say that?
Timmy: I don't even know that guy!
Autumn: I never said you knew who I was...
Timmy: ...
Autumn: Okay, okay, fine. This is me. For reals this time. *insert picture of my brother with his face squished up*
Timmy: Ur a freak. How did you get my number?
Autumn: I got it from the tooth fairy. She was out of money, so she gave me your number as compensation. She said you'd be my boyfriend.

And then we went to bed.

Cue this morning.

We're walking out of seminary. Kolton is standing between us, with his arms around us. To Timmy, I say, "So...anything creepy happen to you yesterday?" "No."

Guess how many times I asked him? About 234051892352345. I kept narrowing it down. "Did anything creepy happen to you last NIGHT?" "Did anything WEIRD or creepy happen last night?" "ARE YOU SURE?!?" Finally I asked, "Did you get any weird or creepy texts last night?" And he says, "No...WAIT OH MY GOSH WAS THAT YOU?!" And I start laughing hysterically, and Kolton then says that some creepy guy texted him last night. And then I informed him that it was my little sister...and then I had to show Kolton the pictures. And it was so funny.
"She sent me a picture of a really fat lady with like, three rolls. And then she sent me a picture of a weird Asian...and then an Asian baby." And then I explained that the Asian was my friend. And the "baby" was my brother. And oh my goodness it was hilarious.

If anyone would like me to send these pictures to them so they can imagine it a little bit better, feel free to ask me. I'd love to text them to you.

Oooh boy. Anyway. That's the most exciting thing that's happened to me in the past little while.

Finals are upon us. I figured I'd post today, just cuz I know I'll never get around to it otherwise. And it's a Monday. And I have such a towering pile of homework, it's not even funny. I have a 3 long page checklist I made two weeks ago, and only an eighth of the tasks are crossed off. Please understand I have until Friday to complete them. AND take 5 finals.

If you have a gun and an extra bullet, feel free to shoot me.

And, here is a tribute to Tim. (No, not Timmy. But Tim.)

#kthanksbye

This blanket it so soft, it's made of unicorns

Day 17 - A song that never gets old

I set fire to the rain ~ Adele. I love this song. I can sing at the top of my lungs to this everyday. Not literally, but you get the picture. ;)

Day 18 - A song that makes me laugh

A Dream is a Wish your Heart Makes ~ Cinderella. This song makes me laugh a lot. No, I won't share why.

Day 19 - The most beautiful song

God Be With You Til We Meet Again ~ I have no idea. Yeah, I don't know who wrote this. But I love it. It's one of the few songs that has made me cry tears of JOY multiple times. I just love it a whole lot.

Day 20 ~ A song with terrible singing

How about every song on the radio?!?! No? Okay. Kiss ~ Carly Rae Jepson. Just...that woman was a one hit wonder. End of story.

Day 21 - The best love song

Lucky ~ Jason Mraz. So, this isn't the BEST per say, but it's one of my favorites. So..yeah.

Okay. Now, my excuse for not posting since last Thursday. I got mah wisdom teeth out. Woooohooo. No, I didn't really look like a chipmunk. And yes, I have recovered extremely quickly. Yes, I am pretty awesome. You didn't ask that? My bad...

Just so you don't have to ask, yes, they took videos. And yes, they're pretty funny. So, you're welcome. They didn't video tape me telling everyone about how my blanket was made of unicorns, which I apparently stated as soon as they put me in my bed. But now I've told you, so you'll survive. Anyway, I was very drugged up all of Friday, and in a lot of pain Saturday and Sunday. Yesterday started painfully, but then I somehow got better part way through the day. It's gone up and down a bit, but it's very tolerable. So yes, on day 4 I was totally functional. Driving, doing homework, all that. In Seminary this morning, my teachers jaws dropped upon hearing I'd gotten my teeth out. It made me feel a little bit cool.

My post today has an actual purpose tho. And it is this: I know some of the most amazing people on the planet. Let us begin.

My mother. Oh my lanta, my mother. I love her so much. She drove me to get my teeth out, obviously, and then wiped my tears as soon as they'd woken me up(I don't know why I was emotional, okay?). She also cleaned up all of my drool as I consistently asked whether or not I had a tongue, and felt it. She tucked me into bed, and made sure I got all of my health pills and such on time. AND she made me smoothies everyday. And poached eggs, once I could sorta chew. Friday night was movie night, and there was a specific movie they wanted to watch, but they changed it because as they were reading the description I started crying cuz of the violence(my emotions were messed up...). My mom is incredible, and I am so blessed to have such an amazing and wonderful mother. I just am.

Rachel. As soon as I got home, she sat on my bed with me and held my hand as I dozed in and out of consciousness. She also sang to me. And read to me. And then she watched Doctor Who with me for like, 4 hours. And she offered to let me sleep on the pullout bed with her the first night because I was sorta upset. And I'd already passed out there. She babied me when I really needed it, and it was nice. She religiously iced each side of my face for 20 minutes each, back and forth, and she'd rub my jaw cream stuff on my face. It's just...I am so lucky to have such an amazing sister.

Ian. Ian is always making sure I'm okay. He has a concussion, but he is STILL checking up on me, and making sure that I'm okay. It's nice to know that I have some amazing friends that really care, and that their love for me still exists even tho they're 12 + hours away.

Georgi. This girl has checked up on me every single day. On Friday, she came over to make sure I was okay. She didn't stay long, cuz she had to babysit, but the action of her coming made me happy. Saturday she brought me starbucks and did my nails. She's texted me every single day, just making sure that I'm okay, and wondering if there's anything she can do to help me. Holy shiz I've been blessed with great friends.

I am an incredibly blessed individual. I just am. The past 5 days really showed me that. I am so blessed. And I love the people that I've been blessed with so so much.

Anyway. Now you know how much I love people. The end.

Don't be so messy next time

First things first...

Day 15 - The song with the best lyrics.

Who comes up with these anyways??? I dunno. Whatever.

Little Wonders ~ Rob Thomas. Just...nuff said.

Day 16 - A song you'd like to dedicate to someone you hate.

Jar of Hearts ~ Christina Perri.

Okay. Now, lucky for all ya'll, I collected a few awkward moments for you. Mainly, the first one...

Awkward:

I was at Georgi's house on Tuesday. And we decided it would be funny to text a boy she used to like, from my phone. I say, "I hid the body. Happy now?" to which he replied, "Lol, I think you have the wrong number." So I answer, "Nope, I don't think so *insert boys name here*. What do you want me to do?" Well, he didn't answer. Which was fine. About 15 minutes later, my phone rings. It's a number I don't recognize, but I figure it might be work related or something, so I answered it. Any guesses on who it was? It was his mother...after realizing my name was Aurora, she handed the phone to her son to talk to me. I quickly apologized and hung up, and Georgi and I laughed, quite awkwardly, about it for at least ten minutes.  We didn't learn our lesson, obviously, because we decide that she should text the boy that I like from her phone. She says, "I hid the body. Don't be so messy next time." And he responds with something along the lines of, "Who is this?? I'll report you!" And he said he'd report the number to the cops. So she flips poo and tells him who it is and says, "Aurora will never love you if you do that!" *facepalm* It was a bunch of, "Oh my gosh what's wrong with him" and a lot of quick texting. It was so awkward. So so so awkward.

You know that awkward moment when you remember every time anyone's ever fed you grapes? Yup...That's what happens when you watch strange movies.

I was at a birthday party on Friday, and everyone began openly saying that the boy I'm interested in is annoying, and obnoxious, and blah blah blah. It was really awkward for me, cuz none of them knew I liked him....it was real awkward.

At said birthday party, one of the girls told this scary story. I won't tell you the whole story, because you might hate me. But it basically made it super hard for me to leave her house. In the dark. And drive home. Alone. I considered calling Ian, but his head was hurting really bad that night, and it was late. So I didn't. I just loudly sang primary songs, and then I freaking RAN into my house, and slid my back against the walls so the thing couldn't sneak up behind me and eat me. The girl who shared the lovely story couldn't believe that we freaked out so much. Aaaaand my parents gave me some weird looks.

On the drives home from Seminary, we like to turn the radio on to the part where they're all talking, ya know? And then we'll turn the volume off and then up, over and over, so we catch just bits of their sentences. Just so we can see how ridiculous they sound. It's really funny, try it next time you're in your car. Well, today, the radio people were talking about honeymoons....let's just say, we almost peed our pants from the sheer awkwardness of it all. Yeah.

Nicholas is real short. For the past week, he's been complaining about the sun being in his eyes. And I just kept saying, "I'll bring you some phone books tomorrow, okay?" I always forget. So, he'll take all of our blankets and pile them up on his seat, and sit on them. And it's frickin hilarious. Especially when, today, just as we were getting in the car, one of my friends came to his window to ask me a question. And had to ask, "Nicholas...I thought you were shorter..." and he looked so confused.

K, so there was a dance on Saturday. And I wore a batman shirt. Which was awesome. After the dance, a group of us went to sonic. Well, we're stupid. Cuz we forgot that it was COLD. We all huddled together outside for a bit, and then got into Brooke's minivan and cranked the heater. So, I'm sitting next to my friend, Kolton. And he really likes batman too. So, he makes a circular motion with his hand and points to the batman symbol, which is on my chest, and says, "I had this first, understand??" and it got reaaaallly quite. And then his friend busts up and he says, "No! I meant the shirt, I had the shirt first!" And it was really hilarious, although it was somewhat inappropriate.

I'm doing no-shave November. Everyone thinks I'm kidding, but I'm serious. I haven't shaved my legs in over two weeks. I have an impressive amount of hair. If guys can go all that time without shaving, then so can I! Anyway, in the car after the dance, Kolton says something about not shaving. All of the girls in the car proudly announce the last time they'd shaved. Mostly that day. Wusses. Anyway, I say, "Oh yeah. I shaved today too." And I rolled my eyes. As a joke, many people reached for my leg, like to feel it?(I was wearing jeans. Don't worry, I don't show off the hair) And I said, "Just kidding, guys...I'm doing no-shave November...I haven't shaved all month." And the boys instantly recoiled. One of them gagged. I died laughing.

The batman shirt? I considered wearing it today. And when I got to Seminary, I saw that Kolton was wearing his. I can't decide whether that would've been awesome or awkward...

Awesome:

RACHEL GETS HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS TODAY. Holy shiznicklebiscuits. I am so excited. I have missed her so effing much. And she gets home TODAY. Like, her plane lands in 15 minutes. HOLY SON OF A BISHOP. Okay. I'm calm now.

I got a friggin Batman shirt.

The thing from the scary story didn't eat me.

I learned how to take in some pants that are super baggy. Woot!

I fixed my broken flat iron. With duct tape. Like a boss.

I turned in all of my assignments I was behind in! Well...except for...except for the ones I haven't yet. BUT IT'S A START. Besides, there aren't that many behind.

I have become super addicted to Doctor Who...I'm almost done with Season 2...and I'm not sure whether or not to be proud of this fact...

David Tennant is hot. And that's awesome. Like...a whole butt ton of sexy.

Beka and I discovered that Obama was the devils' fart. (Remember the post about that? Read it here. And then I mentioned it again here). It was just...it was just funny. And awesome.  (I mean no disrespect to the guy...okay, maybe a little bit...)

That's about it for now, peeps. I'm just gonna watch Doctor Who until Rachel gets here...
